Supermodel and Billionaire in Ugly Split

Former Victoria’s Secret supermodel Stephanie Seymour and her billionaire husband Peter Brant are enmeshed in an increasingly ugly divorce in Connecticut. Seymour filed for divorce in March, seeking custody of the couple’s three children (ages 15, 12 and 4), alimony and an equitable division of their marital assets.

Brant is the CEO of White Birch Paper and Brant Publications. He was married to his college sweetheart Sandy Brant when he and Seymour began an affair in the early 1990′s. She was 25 and he was 48. They ultimately married in 1995 after his divorce from Sandy.

Seymour’s legal filings now include allegations that Brant engaged in “hostile, threatening and intimidating behavior.” She claims that he changed locks and safe combinations at their home, took away her jewelry and told administrators at their youngest’s preschool that Seymour was not allowed to pick her up.

Brant filed a motion asking that Seymour be ordered to undergo drug and alcohol testing. Seymour has a wild past – she dated Guns ‘N Roses singer Axl Rose for quite some time prior to meeting Brant – but insists that her drug use is solely in the past. Brant is reportedly now claiming that Seymour is unfit to parent the children.

Despite Seymour’s divorce filing and Brant’s lock-changing, the couple is reportedly still living under the same roof in Greenwich, Connecticut. Friends of Seymour tell the New York Post that Seymour has been staying in the maid’s quarters. In addition to their 50-acre estate in Greenwich, the couple also owns estates in the Hamptons and Palm Beach. They are also renowned in art circles for their vast collection of contemporary art.

There is presumably a prenuptial agreement due to Brant’s wealth at the time of the marriage as well as his five other children. Time will tell whether Seymour intends to challenge any prenup in court.
