After a long court battle, rapper 50 Cent and his ex-girlfriend Shaniqua Tomkins settled their custody dispute regarding 11 year old son Marquise.

50 will have visitation with Marquise one weekend each month (which was less than originally sought), one month in the summer and half of winter and spring breaks.  The settlement is a surprisingly peaceful resolution to a very public and very bitter fight.

While the custody case is resolved (until the next flare-up), these two won’t be absent from court for long. There is still a case pending relating to the house 50 Cent allowed Tomkins and Marquise to live in and tried to evict them from, which then mysteriously burnt down.  Following that development, the rapper sued Tomkins for defamation after she made statements to the press blaming him for arson in burning the house.
