can your husband or wife become legally responsible for debt aquired by either the wife or husband even if we dont live in the same state. my husband lives in New mexico, who abandoned my daughter and myself in 1993, and refuses to divorce me.
this makes it impossible to get married and get any of the possible benefits that would be available to myself and my fiance to be.. I am also applying for SSDI does being legally married affect those benefits. I have tried several times to get a divorce but as i said refuses. I would appreciate your feedback on this
Thank you
