My fiance owns a home he is currently upside down in by about 100K and it is most likely going to be foreclosed on. I also own a home with a current mortgage on it. If we get married prior to his house going into foreclosure is there any way that the bank can lien my home for the difference on what is owed on his after they sell it? We live in Oregon State. Please help.
My retirement pension is twice as much as my wife’s contribution. For the past 7+ years we have paid the majority of living costs from my pension with none left for savings. She had/has a separate 401K that we have always planned on using for retirement when she turned 62. Now she is 62 and we are getting divorced. Since our marraige I have contributed at lease $1200 a month more than her. Now I have no savings and am wondering if I am entitled to some of her private account. We live in Oregon.
i live in the state of oregon with my 3 month old daughter. her father hasn’t been in her life whatsoever and his name is on the birth certificate nor has paternity been established. he was abusive and has never seen her nor made any attempts to visit. he got a warrent and is in trouble quite often and dhs is after him for child support. i now am looking to move to the state of Washington. how can i do so without having him take custody or ruin our chances at a better life? please help
