E!'s Debbie Matenopoulos Headed for Divorce

Current E!’s Daily 10 host Debbie Matenopoulos’s husband, Jay Faires, filed for divorce this week in a Los Angeles court. The couple married in July 2003 (personal side note: A friend of mine is a friend of Debbie’s and went to this wedding. I even saw pictures!). They apparently have been separated since March 22, 2008. Matenopoulos commented yesterday that she was disappointed that Faires filed and that she learned of the filing on the internet. Wow. I’ve gotta say that’s pretty cold.

The divorce petition apparently requests that Matenopoulos not be awarded any spousal support and also notes that the couple’s property split is yet to be determined. There is no indication yet that a prenuptial agreement was signed.

Matenopoulos first garnered attention as an original co-host on The View. Faires is president of the music division of Lionsgate. They have no children.
