Jerry Rice: Still Not Divorced

Future NFL Hall-0f-Famer and Dancing with the Stars finalist Jerry Rice is still in the midst of a California divorce case. Rice’s wife Jacqueline filed for divorce in San Mateo County, California in June, 2007. Now, over a year later, the case drags on.

The couple made news late last year when they put their 16,000 square foot Atherton, California home on the market for $22 million. No big surprise in the current housing market, the house is still on the market, now priced at $19.5 million.

A check of the San Mateo court records reveals that not much official progress has been made in the divorce case. Jerry RiceThe parties have exchanged asset and debt disclosures as well as income and expense statements. These required filings are precursors to settlement negotiations.

There is some indication in the court summary that Jerry and Jacqueline have made some inroads towards settlement. Back in April, Jacqueline’s attorney filed a document which referenced a stipulation regarding division of gym equipment and a stipulation regarding division of property. The case is currently scheduled for a status conference with the judge on August 12, 2008.

You know Jerry, you don’t realize many times when things are going bad, I think about Jackie and you. I remember jackie from high school and you from valley. It was very inmspirational to see you two stick it out together all these years. Being from the area that we came from, it was great to see that success did not change your relationship. to be honest many people in greenville, did not count on it lasting this long. But you two proved them wrong. Why would you wait until you get to be this age to bail out now. Man this is the time when we are old enough to start looking forward to the grandchildren, the real fun stuff. DAm!

Man I would suggest that you think back to the time you would come to greenville to see her, remember that person man, and your kids. You got a real down home southern woman. Leave those fake, money hungry women in the street man.

Here, Here, Terrance. Black Love is hard to find. They were a beautiful couple. It saddens my heart. I know it must truly hurt you, as well. I was proud to be a California girl raised like a Southern girl. My family is from Texas and raised me to uphold the values of God and love. This is what I thought they had. Another, broken story. So, sad.
