Pop star Madonna and her film director husband Guy Ritchie will receive a preliminary divorce decree in a British court tomorrow. The divorce will then be final after six weeks and a day. The former couple announced their split in late October and have now apparently reached a financial and custody settlement.

Most reports indicate that Madonna will keep the bulk of her estimated $500 million fortune and that Ritchie will hang on to his $20 million. Some sources insist, however, that Ritchie will be receiving a rather large property settlement. It appears that the couple’s two sons – Rocco (8) and David (3) – will split their time between mom in New York and dad in London. Madonna’s 12 year old daughter Lourdes will obviously live with her mother in New York. Lourdes’ father is Madonna’s ex-boyfriend and trainer Carlos Leon.

Madonna and Ritchie were married almost eight years ago, just after Rocco’s birth. Murmurs of relationship woes grew louder this summer when baseball star Alex Rodriguez’s then-wife Cynthia accused him of having an “affair of the heart” with Madonna. There continues to be speculation that Madonna and Rodriguez are romantically involved.
